I am an energetic and positive teacher who has been working in Broward County Florida for 14 years. I love teaching in the Elementary School levels (K-5) and teaching Adults ESOL as well. I have a B.A. in Art Education from Wingate University and MA in Elementary Education in ESOL. I love seeing my students grow and develop knowledge throughout each year. I create meaningful lessons which help students remember valuable information within their academics.

I graduated from Wingate University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I have a B.S. in Kinesiology from Pacific Lutheran University. As a PT, I work in the outpatient realm and am most knowledgeable in orthopedics and sports medicine. I understand how stressful studying for the NPTE can be, and having passed the exam in 2018 I am familiar with its current format. I hope that I can help students get over this hurdle so that they can start their careers on the right foot.

Hello, Houston! I am a state-certified teacher who loves to work with the youth in our exceptional city. Currently, I teach advanced mathematics in one of Houston ISD's Vanguard Magnet Schools, where I also teach enrichment academics to prepare students for academic competitions. I have a B.A. in English and Mathematics, where I specialized in Composition and Geometry. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a copywriter.I am extremely passionate about education, as I believe it is the key to unlocking the potential in each of us. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students with all types of abilities, and I strive to tailor my teaching style to best fit the needs of each individual student. Specifically, I have much experience teaching Gifted & Talented, English as a Second Language, and Special Education Services students. I have taught students who come to me for academic enrichment, as well as students who need remedial education.I am a student-focused educator who firmly believes that instruction should be catered to each individual student. Instead of coaching my students each and every step of the way, I strive to make myself a resource to my students. Being an English major at Wingate University has been one of the most rewarding experiences that I have had, and it has influenced me to want to help others enjoy the language and literary materials that are available in the world as much as I enjoy them. English can be a difficult subject for some and I want to help them understand the difficulties, as well as enjoy the wonders embedded in various literature. Of course there is literature that can be dry, but there is so much out there that is wonderful and engaging. You just have to look for it. The English language is one of the most difficult languages to understand, but approaching it from a different perspective is what helps it make sense. My goal is to apply language to everyday use, which is the tactic that seems to help others grasp harder concepts. It can be challenging, but that is half the fun when it comes to English. There is so much potential waiting to be attained. You only have to listen to someone speak or open a book to begin understanding and appreciating English.

I have 23 years of experience in education. Eighteen of those year were spent in the classroom teaching science at the secondary level with much success. I truly believe that all can learn with the correct experience and exposure.In my free time, I love spending time with my family and traveling. I look forward to traveling abroad more this year. I am an avid music lover. I love to read for personal development and enrichment.

I graduated from Wingate University with a Master's in Arts for Teaching. My teaching license is for students K-6. In order to attain my license I needed to pass three difficult Pearson tests in Reading, Math and a test on mixed subjects (Science, Social Studies, etc.). I passed them all on the first try. I have worked as a Student Teacher in 3rd grade classroom for the Fall 2018 semester and have taught all the subjects included in 3rd grade curriculum. I love teaching Elementary Math because the way schools teach math now is so different from when I was a child. Schools are now implementing the use of manipulatives (like objects such as small bears, or fraction tiles), drawings, and other creative means to teach the conceptual concepts behind math. I l also have a background and a Bachelor's in Fine Arts so I really enjoy teaching math this way.I also love to teach reading and writing as well as speaking and communication skills.In my free time I love to cook and try new recipes, paint and draw, and write letters.

I am currently a rising Junior Math and Math Education Major at Wingate University. I am also a collegiate swimmer at Wingate.I believe that a student can master his or her math concepts best if the student's work is presented in basic steps. I like to demonstrate the steps and ask the student to repeat the process of solving the math problems back to me. I then am able to find any learning gaps or misunderstandings of the applicable math concepts.I am a firm believer in good time management skills. Helping a student develop good study habits, while also being able to take part in their various extracurricular activities will help provide a healthy balance for the student.
