I am currently a freshman at North Carolina State University pursuing a undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. I completed my undergraduate education in Animal Ecology and Forestry at Iowa State University in 2010. While a student at Iowa State, I assisted numerous graduate students with wildlife research projects and even developed my own project on the vegetative cover used by jackrabbits. Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012 with a Honors Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a concentration in plant biology. I also traveled to Costa Rica while an undergraduate to conduct field research in the tropical wet and cloud forests. I migrated south to The Swamp and the University of Florida. Even though what I am pursuing at the university is not directly related to teaching, I love tutoring/teaching. Ever since I was in high school I would tutor all of my friends in all of the subjects they were struggling with. As it turned out, I am good at tutoring so I kept doing it to help my friends; I came to the conclusion that I am good at it because all the people I have tutored have said so but mostly because I compared how they would perform when I tutored them vs when other people tutored them, and my students would always do better when I tutor them. This kind of made me feel like, if I am really good at it and can help people do good and learn, then, I should. I tutor a variety of subjects going from Spanish to subjects in the sciences, math, and engineering. I do not have a set teaching style; I think every person learns in a different way, so as a tutor I am always trying to be flexible to teach in a way that is easiest for my students to learn and understand the material.

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a difficult but hopefully rewarding experience. Along the way, I have taken many mathematics courses, and some are still looming in the distance. However, I have found that I have a knack for many of the mathematical coursework thus far. I am a chemist and chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in project engineering and project management. I also taught 11th grade math in Nigeria West Africa at G.S.S.
