I am a Professor of Biology at the College of Coastal Georgia. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences, a Masters Degree in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology. I am passionate about student success and want to use this opportunity as a tutor to help students in the areas of biology and microbiology. I use examples that are relatable to real life as often as I can and hope to show even the most disinterested student that science can be fun! My previous students have said that my excitement about the subjects I teach is infectious and helps them engage with the material. I also encourage students to ask questions, even when they might think they are silly. It gives us an opportunity to discuss and sometimes dive into the subject a little deeper. I have experience working with students ranging from elementary school all the way through high school and beyond. I participate in many different outreach opportunities with the local middle schools and the 4-H chapter. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, read the occasional novel, or work on my many craft projects.

Many of my teachers taught me the importance of relationship building. They put relationships with their students above all else. From them, I learned that students need to know you care before they show you they care. Before becoming a teacher, I was an investigator for the Department of Children's Services. Once again, I learned that for the kids I was working with to trust me, they first had to know that I truly cared and would always keep my word. I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor's in Art in English Literature then several years down the road obtained a Master's in Art in English Literature from Grand Canyon University. This summer I will begin my journey toward a PhD in Literature at Liberty University. I love all things about English and Literature, but if I had to narrow it down, Creative Writing and British Lit would be neck and neck for that top spot. I love helping students find their own voice when they write, wether it be a serious piece with a touch of humor, or that emotional narrative that just pulls at the heartstrings. Then their is just something that resonates deep in my soul with British Lit., the epic tales of Beowulf, the romantic adventures of King Arthur's knights, the satire that Swift brings to the table, and the wordsmith that is just uniquely Shakespeare.

I have taught in public schools for 16+ years. I received my bachelors in Early Childhood Education PK-3. I also pursued master degrees in Curriculum & Instruction with an Emphasis in Reading, and TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages). I completed my license in Leadership and Administration. I love teaching others and making students feel comfortable about learning. I have a background in teaching diverse student groups and I find a joy in teaching all.

I see education as a life tool, there are so many things in the world to learn. I believe if we change our perspective on learning we would enjoy it more and want to do it more. That's my goal the change the perspective and get them to embrace learning.

Hi! I have my Mathematics degree from the University of TN - Martin where I tutored remedial math courses during my studies. I also have a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Memphis. I'm currently work full time as a Clinical Trials Research Coordinator in Memphis, but I love math and helping others achieve their goals when it comes to learning and understanding math!

In 2003, I graduated from Penn State with a B.A. in English, and in 2015, I completed my M.Ed with a focus in School Counseling from the University of Tennessee- Martin. Spending the last three years working in a small, private school has afforded me the opportunity to develop both my counseling and teaching skills. I've learned that forming authentic relationships with students and their families can bolster the learning process.When working with students, I try to personalize the content to their interests whenever possible. I also try to give appropriate challenges; I want students to be engaged and always learning, but not overwhelmed and frustrated.As an educator, my passion is helping students experience those "ah-ha!" moments, when everything clicks at once and students feel empowered ad confident.

Currently, I am a graduate teaching assistant at the University of New Mexico. In the past, I taught underserved populations in middle and high schools in rural Mississippi and Tennessee. In addition, I taught community college in the adult education department. Over the years, many of my adult students have arrived in my class reading and doing math at elementary school levels. With these students, I work tirelessly one-on-one to prepare them for their future endeavors.As a tutor, I have the privilege of watching my students grow every day. It is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I understand how students acquire knowledge, and I have the experience to apply this understanding to aid with student outcomes.

I graduate at University of Tennessee at Martin. I have a bachelor's degree in Management and a minor in Finance. The reasons I am so passionate about helping students are mostly because a lot of students that I have taught in the past expressing their love for this language. My job was mainly helping the students with homework and their speaking skills. I am able to speak three languages French and creole which are my primary languages and English. I can teach beginners, intermediate, and anyone that is interesting in learning French. During my time studying at UTM I had a scholarship to go study in France for a month where I had the privilege to meet students from all over the world and learn about different cultures.
