I was born in Colombia and moved to the United States at a young age where I grew up in a Spanish-speaking household. I attended Spanish classes every Saturday to master my grammar, orthography, and pronunciation. By the time I got to high school, I had learned virtually all I could, so I took four semesters of French instead.I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with University Honors, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in French, German, and International Studies. Hello! My name is Anna Grace and I am a Senior undergraduate student majoring in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating December 2021. Currently, I am working towards my EP-C Certification through the ACSM as well as working as a clinical intern for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and have completely immersed myself in healthcare. In addition to a 340-hour internship, I am currently shadowing 6-12 hours per week with the Occupational Therapy Department at CVMC. Both of these amazing experiences allow to me grow in my current patient care, clinical, and transferable skills as well as providing a foundation for career opportunities directly following graduation and while continuing my education. Following graduation, my current goal is to apply to a graduate program in Occupational Therapy by Winter 2021.

I am currently a physics major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have previously tutored at Mathnasium, teaching primarily middle school students with some elementary school students and some high school students. I primarily teach physics and math. My tutoring experience comes from being in school as well, as the college of education partnered with HEART tutoring, which allowed me to tutor a second and fourth grader in math once a week this past semester. With that being said, I have more experience tutoring elementary math, however I have completed K-2 coursework for reading/writing as well. Math is probably my favorite subject to tutor just because I love to hear students explain their reasoning when solving a problem and seeing them reach the correct solution is pure joy. Outside of academia, I love to read, workout, paint, and play with my cat (his name is Dash)!

My experience working with students covers around 2.5 years, and was relative to physical geography(specifically labs).
